Privacy Policy for AmiGuru
Last Updated: November 13, 2025
AmiGuru ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data when you use our application.
1. Information We Use (and What We DON'T Collect)
We believe in privacy. We DO NOT collect any personal information that identifies you, such as your name, email address, physical address, or location.
To provide core features like project saving and offline access, we use Firebase Anonymous Authentication. This service creates a random, anonymous User ID (e.g., "a1b2c3d4..."). This ID is not linked to your real identity, name, or email.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use this anonymous User ID for one purpose only: to securely save your in-app data. This includes:
- Your Project Progress: (e.g., patterns you are working on, favorites, notes).
- App Functionality: To synchronize your progress across sessions.
3. Firebase & Offline-First
We use Google's Firebase (Firestore) to store your anonymous project data. We have enabled Firebase Offline Persistence, which means this data is also stored securely in a local database on your device. This allows the app to work 100% offline.
Firebase may collect non-personal, aggregated data for its own performance and crash tracking (e.g., crash logs), as per Google's Privacy Policy.
4. Data Sharing
We DO NOT sell, trade, or share any of your data (anonymous or otherwise) with any third-party advertisers or companies.
5. Your Data Rights & Deletion
You have the right to delete your data. You can delete your anonymous User ID and all associated project data at any time by using the "Delete My Data" button located in the app's Settings screen.
6. Children's Privacy
The app is designed to be safe for all ages and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
